Dr. Rohrich, thank you for sharing your insights techniques. Very informative. I’m an RN and currently training in aesthetics. Question; as you’re injecting around the commissures, how are you avoiding the labial arteries?

Sometimes as a patient you don't learn what works and what doesn't until AFTER you have had the surgery. So then you might have to re-do it. It is so much easier today though, with lots of info online. Before the internet it was very hard to find info.

I have seen RUclips videos from a few surgeons that talk about an internal bra or similar.

Instead of “fracture,” less scary words would be notch or kerf.

Some of the things I have seen in YT videos: a high titanium dioxide content in the PMU ink can give chalky lips over time. Titanium oxide pigment can not be removed from the lips*. Iron oxide pigments in the PMU ink can become absorbed by the body in people with anaemia, leaving behind the other remaining pigments in the ink. The lip shade then changes when the iron oxide is missing. (* I don't know yet how they fix this when it can't be removed. Presumably they have to tattoo over it somehow).

Lots of people are vit. D deficient because we are mostly indoors these days. As you say, it doesn't matter if you live somewhere sunny if you're mostly indoors. Official guidelines really need to be adjusted for vit. D. It's too low as it is now.

Selenium tip: 1 - 3 Brazil nuts gives you the daily need. 😊

Lots of people are anemic and/or iodine deficient too. I would think that vegetable Omega 3 is better since it is lower down on the food chain (less heavy metals than in fish oil). I have never heard anyone say that vegetable Omega 3 needs to be limited.

What’s the remedy for asymmetrical fat injections? I had a facelift which included injected thigh fat in 2019. The left side is much fuller than the right side. The right side looks great, left side is larger, especially under my cheekbone down to the jawline. I’m very self-conscious about it. My ENT thought I had salivary gland issues on the left side but a CT scan showed it was all fat. I also read that these injected cells can die and won’t change.

The energy devices make facelifts more difficult? 😳 The people who review these devices NEVER mention that. I must have watched hundreds of those videos. I was right to be sceptical of those devices then. There has been lots of discussion about facial fat loss from energy devices, but never that facelifts get difficult.
